Tony Hughes is a long-established Harley Street doctor with wide interests. Artist, singer, performer and sometime poet, he divides his time between London and the North Norfolk coast. As a painter in oil he refers to the majority of his works as ‘abstracted landscapes’ – implying taking aspects of a subject to emphasise them, such as geometry and the celebration of colour. He has exhibited (and performed) at the London Sketch Club and is a member of the Chelsea Arts Club. The Norfolk coast has been a passion and endless source of inspiration for the past 50 years.
Tony’s dramatic abstract body of work, with it’s rich palette, reflects textures and hues that instantly evoke a connection to the surrounfing nature in Norfolk. He has undertaken a number of private commissions in the past and is now introducing his work to a wider public.
